Beyonce & JayZ tie the knot
Date: 04 - 7 - 2008
Artist:  BYNC

With many sites speculating over whether or not Jay-Z and Beyonce actually did tie the knot, the truth is now out, and the couple have in fact been wed in New York City. US Magazine have revealed that the couple were married in Jay-Z's Tribeca Apartment on Friday 4th April, with one source for the magazine commenting; "It was amazing - very special, very private, very intimate. Everyone had so much fun. It ended up being a wild party. DJ Cassidy was spinning and people partied until 4:30 a.m."

The ceremony was extremely low key, with only a select number of family and friend invited to the ceremony, including Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. Beyonce was alleged to have worn a veil and a white dress with a low V-neck and thick straps. Her hair was decorated with a white flower and ringlet curls, all in a half ponytail.

Beyonce's father, Matthew Knowles, commented that he was sorry he couldn't have invited more people to the wedding, but that they were aiming to keep it small. The couple have also been rumored to now possess identical '4' tattoos on their ring fingers, a number which connects both their birthdays and the day of their wedding. There has been no news as of yet on any honeymoon plans.

There are a number of reasons that mergers and acquisitions occur in the business world.  These issues generally relate to business concerns such as competition, efficiency, marketing, product, resource, and tax issues.  They can also occur because of some very personal reasons such as retirement and family concerns.  Merging is an excellent way to improve a firm's position in the marketplace as well as allowing each others experiences, resources, expertise, business relationships, etc. to become available to the other party.   In this case, we could expect many of these to be true for these two artists, such as the creating of an even larger fan following by merging both artists fan bases; the ability for each artist to lend their unique styles and vocal skills onto each others future tracks; as well as the tax savings that both can enjoy by filing their IRS return as married, which has a lower tax percentage than if they were to  file as single!
